The Promenade Plantée is one of Paris’ best kept secrets! It is referred to by locals as “La Coulée Verte” (greenway). Built on an abandoned train corridor (a good portion elevated), this is a great opportunity to escape the city’s traffic!
The Promenade Plantée stretches from Bastille to the west entrance of the Bois de Vincennes in the 12th Arrondissement. The plan was conceived by Philippe Mathieux and Jacques Vergely in the 1980s.
The stroll is unforgettable, with a tasteful variety of textures and colours. A successful combination of wild and cultivated styling.
I highly recommend this as a must-see!
